The portraits below were taken during my trips to visit Fairmined gold mines in Peru and emerald mines in Colombia. This will be an ongoing series and I will be adding more with time.

Taking portraits of a person creates a connection and sparks conversations and an exchange of smiles. The same way I asked for their portrait or a picture with them, they asked for mine.
