Snail amulet sculpted in wax and cast in sterling silver using the lost wax casting method. A piece to remind us of the cycle of life, the beauty of metamorphosis, and the beauty of constant evolution in ourselves. Snails, mirroring a spiral, represent the never-ending cycle of life. Land and Sea snails were very common in the early period of gold work. Time was conceived as being cyclical or like a spiral. The metamorphosis that occurred in certain animals, such as insects, represented the never-ending cycle of life.
